Day Service Facilitator
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilitator to join our Day Centre in Sutton, supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.
As this is a Day Centre, the position is largely 9-5, Monday to Friday, but there are occasions when you may be asked to provide support outside these hours.
Position vacancy: Facilitator role in Sutton Resource Centre.
A community base development centre for adults 18+ with range of learning disabilities behaviours which challenge, Epilepsy, Down’s syndrome, and individuals who are non verbal.
At Sutton day centre we help support individuals independence, creativity, interaction, friendships, choices , communications and life styles.
Promote ASDAN towards independence modules with small groups at the centre and in their own home.
We provide Outreach services (Sutton, Lambeth and Croydon)

Main Purpose of job role is:
To enable the People We Support to lead a valued and fulfilling life and to maximise the potential capacity of all individuals , physically , intellectually, emotionally and socially , whilst working in accordance with Achieve together philosophy of care , its policies and procedures and all relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities list is not inclusive:
Facilitate daytime activity session groups. Lead outreach training within the residential homes and supported living environments and supports access to community activities.
Work as part of a team; attend regular staff meetings, training and supervision.
Ensure the safety of the attendees at all times, reporting health, safety or wellbeing of concerns.
Improves the quality of life of the attendees by ensuring satisfaction of their needs and enabling the attendees to keep moving towards there agreed goals. Maintain awareness of the emotional needs and aspirations of each attendee and provides opportunities for appropriate expression.
